CUFF PHOTOJOURNALISM AMBASSADOR PROGRAM OVERVIEW

“Underground” isn’t always easy to define. At its core, it’s a fluid, inclusive, forward-thinking concept that has fueled movements and counter-culture revolutions over time. Chicago Underground Film Fest is no different. At our core, we welcome visionaries, activists, creatives, and we’re proud to be the longest running incubator of the avant-garde, controversial, the cutting edge, and the transformational.

The CUFF 2020 student ambassador program is designed to inspire young professionals to explore the unusual, creatively document underground activity, transcend long-upheld societal norms through self-exploration, and learn how to leverage the DIY mentality.

Program Details

Timeline: – Application opens: January 13th  – Application closes: March 23rd

– Ambassador program duration: April 14th – June 15th 

Requirements: – Meet with fellow student ambassadors & film industry professionals 1x/week – Participate in weekly roundtable discussions  – Draft 2 responses to the weekly thought (in the form of a picture/video and short essay) & post to social media

– Document and promote CUFF 2020 on social media (must be available June 10 – 14)

Incentives: – Letter of recommendation from CUFF Director  – Full access to CUFF 2020 screenings & after parties  – CUFF swag  – Networking opportunities 

– Featured on CUFF’s website
