The Chicago Underground Film Festival is thrilled to unveil our 2018 festival poster! This year poster was illustrated by the indescribably awesome Amy Davis with design work by Dan Streeting.

Amy Davis has lived in New York City, San Francisco, Honolulu, Seattle, Boca Raton, Napa Valley, and now resides in Santa Fe, NM. She tried to drop out but was forced to stay and graduate from the RHODE ISLAND SCHOOL OF DESIGN with a BFA in Illustration.

Her work has shown in PS1 and DEITCH PROJECTS and recently received a GRAMMY NOMINATION for TV ON THE RADIO’s “No Future Shock”. Amy showed at COLETTE in Paris for MY 2007 and in the book CURVY in Australia published by YEN Magazine. She was recently in Honolulu for her latest design collabo with LE SPORTSAC, the artist edition “Island Life”.

Amy has created many ads and packaging for HARD CANDY and URBAN DECAY as well as NINE WEST. Her editorials have run from SEVENTEEN to PAPER, mainstream to avant-garde. Ten years ago she created a streetwear collaboration with Cosmic of the Emily the Strange line.

As well as fashion illustration and design, Amy is the bassist and singer for the band LOW ON HIGH with husband filmmaker guitar god Jon Moritsugu. She co-runs the production company APATHY PRODUCTIONS with Moritsugu. Their NU PONK ROCK HORROR FILM “PIG DEATH MACHINE”  won the CHICAGO UNDERGROUND FILM FESTIVAL’S “Lifetime Achievement Award”. She has starred in Moritsugu’s last 5 feature films – MOD FUCK EXPLOSION and MY DEGENERATION, for example – and has recently become a producer and screenwriter with him.  Learn more about Amy at amydavis.com you’ll be glad you did!
