PLASTIC CRIMEWAVE SOUND
“A wonderful ball of scuzz that will drag you down the psychedelic path to self-destruction, smashing your face into a CAN the whole ride. Dirty dirges of sound swirling around my head, start to make me worry who may be watching me through the windows and I start to see little glass spiders running up and down my arms in a paranoid haze. Mr.Crimewave has done an excellent job, and if you have ever had re-occurring nightmares from too much cough syrup, then this will be the tasty dish you’ve waited for your whole life.” -Horizontal Action, 2003
SPIRES THAT IN SUNSET RISE
Spires that in the Sunset Rise are a four-woman free folk band whose musical palette includes the cello, bul bul tarang, various drums and bells, ecstatic yelps and cackles, and all manner of plectra. Their eclectic, outsider folk has drawn comparisons to Comus, Current 93 and The Raincoats.
PANICSVILLE
“Panicsville is one man by the name of Andy Ortmann and to put it simply he is the most underrated artist in the rabidly surging noise scene. Unlike many artists in the noise world today, whose albums seem helplessly redundant, Panicsville doesn’t once repeat a theme in his compositions, instead he treats everyone as a unique work, and an aural painting to be hung in the gallery exhibition that is Panicsville.” – Ryan Brown, indieworkshop.com

PETER STAMPFEL of the Holy Modal Rounders!
Peter Stampfel, founding member of The Fugs and The Holy Modal Rounders is the only person ever to play music with Bob Dylan, Sam Shepard, Mississippi John Hurt and Buckminster Fuller- (Peter said he was like a “80-year-old Lou Reed who hadn’t sang in a while”).
CHRIS CONNELY
Chris Connelly is one of the leading figures in industrial music, serving as a member of both Ministry and Pigface, and as lead vocalist for the Revolting Cocks. More recently he has recorded several solo albums that owe more to acoustic folk and pop influenced by the 60’s cult icon Scott Walker and the early work of David Bowie.

Old School but never old. Juke Joint, Honky Tonk. Rollin’ and Tumblin’. Tuesdays at the Hideout continue to be warm and intimate nights. Devil is in the front just playing away, and folks either listen and drink, or go to the back and conspire and make plans. A time of no particular age, somewhere between the 19th and 21st centuries. It could be 1934, 1974, or 2004. Candles on tables, dreams on minds.

“Initially a solo endeavor from idiosyncratic circuit bending composer MATT MEHLAN, the project has recently expanded and now includes THE GIRL-FACED BOYS. After a pair of releases on his own Shinkoyo imprint, MEHLAN has just issued his latest effort, Git, for the regarded Ghostly International label.”
PRINCESS
“”A two man band with a hundred piece sound. Using guitars, keyboards, drums, banjo, and various thrift-store noise-makers, PRINCESS prattles through battles between party politic cliques from hip hop to art rock crits bits and bits of foggy mountain violet satin water fountains.”
