CUFF hosts Delinquent party!
CUFF is throwing a party!
The Chicago Underground Film Festival invites the Chicago filmmaking community to join us as we celebrate entering our fifth year of serving a truly independent and vital film industry. We’re also toasting the Chicago theatrical release of DELINQUENT, a Peter Hall film, which will be screening at Facets Cinematheque, January 23-29
CUFF PARTY When: Wednesday January 21, 1998 Where: Delilah’s 2771 North Lincoln Ave. (Lincoln & Diversey Pkwy)
773-472-2771
Open Bar from 7-9 PM!
Join CUFF.ORG, The Chicago Underground Film Festival’s members’ organization for a post-holiday celebration of independent filmmaking and meet director Peter Hall, whose debut feature, DELINQUENT was a highlight of CUFF ’96. The film opens at Facets Cinemathque on Friday, January 23. DELINQUENT is a thriller about patricide, suicide, cross-dressing, defective parenting, Virginia Woolf and the need for gun control. Oh yeah –and survival.
New City critic Ray Pride had this to say about Delinquent when it was screened at CUFF in 1996, “Strong, brooding debut feature, with taut thriller editing, gorgeously punctuated by the crackling sound of Gang of Four. The grandly nihilist ending haunts.”
CUFF.ORG will be hosting regular member’s only parties throughout the year, bringing together the diverse community of filmmakers and film fans in the Chicago area. Whether your interest is independent features, documentaries or experimental work, film or video we want to meet you! Contact us for more information.
