An in depth look at obscure Pittsburgh based lo-fi recording artist
Weird Paul. Born Paul Petoskey in 1970, Weird Paul has been recording and
releasing his homemade cassette albums since he was 14 and has since
recorded over 500 songs and has released 20 albums. Although the
majority of his output has been self produced and released in limited numbers he
was briefly signed to Homestead Records, one of the largest and most
respected indie labels of the alternative era early 90s. The album Lo Fidelity,
Hi Anxiety has since earned him a dedicated cult following that includes
musicians such as Lou Barlow, Calvin Johnson and John S. Hall.
